Welcome to Project Inspire

Pupils and staff at Abbey Grange have been inspired to create this website. Study trips focusing on WW1 and WW2, and remembrance activities in school have been our stimulus. We have started to collect memories from our relatives and neighbours. We have also started the research the role our city played during major conflicts.

This site has not been designed to endorse war. We firmly believe we owe a huge debt of gratitude to all who fought for and worked hard to support the fight for our freedom. We dedicate Project Inspire to all their memories. We continue to be inspired.

Pupils from Abbey Grange performed at Leeds Town Hall in June 2010 at the Armed Forces Day event. Our concert band played music to bring back wartime memories. If you have any memories to share with us please send them through our contact page.
